"Say Word!" was created as a way to promote awareness for the many issues being faced by the youth of today, as well as the society in which they live.

As "Say Word!" continues to grow, and more works are submitted, we hope to publish an youth-written anthology.

This anthology will be sold in order to fulfill our goal of raising awareness, as well as to generate funds to be donated to numerous charities whom we are advocating for.

Who are these charities? What do they stand for?

Take a look, and find out!

Boundless Adventures is dedicated to improving the lives of marginalized youth, adults and children at risk through a unique combination of counselling, social rehabilitation, alternative education and outdoor adventure. Working in partnership with Ontario-based community agencies, mostly from Toronto, our program strives to prevent crime, promote alternatives to drug abuse and strengthen the bonds of families and communities ravaged by poverty, violence and mental illness.

The youth of today are the most powerful, yet least utilized generation to exist to date. Each individual possesses this awesome capacity for change that often lies stagnant, with no outlet available to channel its energy. Drop by Drop hopes to serve as the initial spark, initiating the potential of youth so that it may resonate around the world.

Our goal is to generate funds to support clean water and sanitation projects in rural Kenya, where the struggle for water, life’s most fundamental necessity, is a commonality. Our project is completed in conjunction with Free The Children, the world’s largest network of children helping children through education. We hope to accomplish this goal through a variety of activities, including T-shirt sales, benefit concerts and the support through presentations of socially conscious teenagers everywhere.

Our purpose is the empowerment of youth. We believe that the enthusiasm of one person is potent enough to create a global movement of action. Because there is no great team without powerful individuals, and no powerful individual without a great team. After all, the greatest of all changes comes bit by bit, person by person, drop by drop.

Violence and abuse serves to control women and protect male power, as evidenced by the fact that the overwhelming majority of victims are women while offenders and perpetrators are most often, though not exclusively, men.

Yellow Brick House is committed to challenging and eradicating the beliefs, values, systems and structures which support and perpetuate sexism and violence against women. To this end, the organization, its Board of Directors, employees, and service volunteers shall:

  • promote and respect diversity, equity, and inclusivity
  • demonstrate respect for the abilities, opinions, and needs of women and children
  • demonstrate an overarching commitment to confidentiality and safety in relation to the women and children we serve
  • bring integrity and compassion to all that we do.
