Water, water everywhere;
Yet not a drop to drink;
For I realize this water,
This life,
Is not real.

These waves rippling
Around me are
As real as I feel
Yet there's nothing for me
To drink.

I am surrounded
By saltwater seas
Caused by tears
In a third-world country.

I try to help
But receive no assistance.
Nothing but another form of resistance
From those who have
Everything.

I stuble and fall
Into the neverending seas of
Saltwater tears.
As I drift down I notice there's
Water, water everywhere and still
Nothing to drink.
